| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) If Joey Porter's body of work exemplifies the high-point of your weekend, you know that you're on the losing end of a sordid, sick joke of a game. Words utterly fail to describe this romp into the realms of ineptitude. When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Standing here in the garish, filth-ridden stands of this now-empty stadium after the game, I got to thinking - such is truly the fate of both fans of the BB squad. In the end, this team is just hopeless.
And so now it stands that DH leads the all-time series 17-9-1 against BB. DH has a 9-3 regular season record (1-2 in this year's playoffs). BB has a 8-4 regular season record (1-1 in this year's playoffs). The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw DH has decaffeinated BB as though they were palace eunuchs in a wrestling match 20-0 in front of a despondent home crowd.
They were almost perfect on the DH squad particularly on the defensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 289 points, 155 on offense and 134 on defense. Byron Leftwich with 30 points on offense and John Abraham with 21 points on defense were the top scorers. Things were not all roses, however. Said Coach/GM Raman Ohri, "I took exception to our execution on a few plays.. For one, Verron Haynes performed like a spasmodic violinist. His bones are made of flubber, so I don't think that's the problem. At least I wouldn't call that a break per se. Still, he's too much of a little baby to play with that little bruise. Broken vertabrae? I doubt that very much. It's clear who is here just to collect a check and frankly, I won't forget it. As for those NT? They were utterly incompetent, gaining 3 Tackles, 1 Assists throughout the course of their pitiful performance. Overall though, the Doc's been looking into a revolutionary new surgery - replace his hands with anything - stickum, chicken claws, even bricks would be an improvement. I mean, he drops balls as if they were live ferrets. in this game was Keyaron Fox. His horrible effort yielded little but his position coach's fury.
There's no love lost between these two clubs. Raman Ohri waxed poetic, stating, "Well, there's murderers, rapists, boy bands, and then there's that owner of theirs... Which is worst? Hard to tell sometimes." In response, the BB coach stated, "He's beaten us a few times, but then again, he had to sell his soul to do so... a shrivelled-up, nasty little shell of a thing to begin with. No moral fiber at all, that one." |
