| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) Donald Driver stated, "Whoa... we got our backends handed to us today and that's for sure. Coach is steering us toward a high draft pick and a wasted season. I can only hope that he trades me to someone capable of winning before my career ends." Well no kidding, Einstein. PC was bad. Awful. Grotesque. An embarrassment to the league, I dare say. Yikes! PC has just completed a game in which they, proverbially speaking, convinced my cousin to join the circus. To point fingers after this debacle would be unfair given that this most assuredly was a team effort - and that's the only positive spin I can put on the game.
So now the series stands SC leads the all-time series 4-1 against PC. SC has a 5-7 regular season record (0-1 in this year's playoffs). PC has a 8-4 regular season record (0-1 in this year's playoffs). The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw SC has decaffeinated PC as though the unfortunate loser were a snail dropped in a jar of saline solution 42-14 in front of a despondent home crowd.
They were almost perfect on the SC squad particularly on the offensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 282 points, 179 on offense and 103 on defense. Tony Gonzalez with 31 points on offense and A.J. Hawk with 16 points on defense were the top scorers. All that aside, team goat of the game goes to Gerard Warren. Some players need a bit more instruction than others. I've tried a few less orthodox teaching tools from time to time..."
Says Gerard Warren, dragging around a cart full of dirty laundry, "Coach says he'll find a use for me in this system if it kills us both. Yo, just gimme a little slack, man. But this, goin' from starter not even to the bench... I'm bein' disrespected!"
Sebastian Janikowski added, "I ain't sayin' nothin'... OK, maybe just a little. Dude's even worse here than on the field. Starching everyone's straps? Using so much bleach it dissolves the danged cotton? I'm almost at the point where I want to go into Coach's doghouse just so I can get some properly handled laundry!"
Though the game was already decided on the field, apparently neither team was done. Matthew R. Watson grumbled, "I feel kinda sorry for them, to be honest. I mean, how can you be that inept, that pitiable? I guess they occasionally get my blood flowing, but for the most part, playing them is about as exciting as rearranging my sock drawer." In response, the PC coach droned, "Oh, they're harmless... a bit annoying too, I guess... Kinda remind me of Barney or Big Bird..." |
