| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) Jason Witten stated, "We know it's going to be a hard-fought game when we play these clowns - tough, physical... It's important to win the physical football games because you put so much into it. We didn't do that today. Every time I looked up, I heard the crowd and I figured it was another turnover. It's tough to lose when you've worked all week. Mentally, you have to let it go." Well no kidding, Einstein. BB was bad. Awful. Grotesque. An embarrassment to the league, I dare say. Yikes! BB has just completed a game in which they, proverbially speaking, convinced my cousin to join the circus. To point fingers after this debacle would be unfair given that this most assuredly was a team effort - and that's the only positive spin I can put on the game.
So now the series stands DS leads the all-time series 16-11 against BB. DS has a 4-8 regular season record. BB has a 8-4 regular season record (1-1 in this year's playoffs). The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw DS has decaffeinated BB as though they were horses being sent to the glue factory 15-5 in front of a jeering and hostile crowd.
They were almost perfect on the DS squad particularly on the defensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 283 points, 144 on offense and 139 on defense. Eddie Kennison with 28 points on offense and DeMeco Ryans with 35 points on defense were the top scorers. All that aside, team goat of the game goes to Michael Boulware. I've come up with a
motivational plan for every player I deem to be failing to live up to their potential..."
Says Michael Boulware, pouring out of a far-too-tight yellow bikini, "I have nothing to say about this."
DeMeco Ryans added, "Words fail me... got it? I ain't had a single night's sleep since coach made that call last Monday, man. I keep waking up screaming. I mean dang, man... time to put some time on the thigh-master."
"Dem's fightin' woids!": Fuel was added to the fire during the two teams' post game news conferences. Jeffrey Leiss noted, "Sheesh... just mentioning their scaly hides makes me feel very unclean. They're wretched, infantile little sewer rats and I don't want to get dragged into a discussion about them. Any other questions? I need to bathe." In response, the BB coach considered this when he said, "Let's see... something nice to say? Well, they're not the most repugnant team out there, but that's kinda like saying that Shockey isn't as annoying as that Owens clown." |
