| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) Philip Rivers shot, "Whoa... we got our backends handed to us today and that's for sure. Coach is steering us toward a high draft pick and a wasted season. I can only hope that he trades me to someone capable of winning before my career ends." Well no kidding, Einstein. DH was bad. Awful. Grotesque. An embarrassment to the league, I dare say. "You want fries with that?" Yep, we'll be hearing that from Gilbert Gardner in the near-future after this week's performance. After a time, I began to play a game, counting the seconds between mistakes, waiting with giddy excitement while seeing that head coach of theirs as angry as an animal rights activist stumbling into an NRA convention.
So now the series stands DS trails the all-time series 3-26 against DH. DS has a 4-8 regular season record. DH has a 9-3 regular season record (1-2 in this year's playoffs) having just lost the Division Championship game. The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw DS bludgeoning DH as though they were naught but a group of frenchmen on the battlefield 35-30 in front of a despondent home crowd.
They looked unstoppable on the DS squad particularly on the offensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 305 points, 182 on offense and 123 on defense. Matt Hasselbeck with 41 points on offense and Kirk Morrison with 17 points on defense were the top scorers. All that aside, team goat of the game goes to Brandon Jacobs. In the end, these men are kinda like my kids. As any parent knows, from time to time, you just can't always get through to them without getting creative..."
Says Brandon Jacobs, pouring out of a far-too-tight yellow bikini, "I have nothing to say about this."
Brad Meester added, "Words fail me... got it? I ain't had a single night's sleep since coach made that call last Monday, man. I keep waking up screaming. I mean dang, man... time to put some time on the thigh-master."
There's no love lost between these two clubs. Jeffrey Leiss shot, "Hitler, Stalin... perhaps a few others... yeah, he belongs on that exclusive list, if you catch my drift. I sleep well at night, but given all the people he's no doubt stomped on to get where he is, I doubt the same can be said of him." In response, the DH coach blathered, "Gosh... why are you even wasting my time looking for a comment about them? They're kinda like cockroaches - to be sure, they occasionally crawl out of the woodwork to be seen by all, but usually, they're lurking somewhere out of sight." |
