| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) "You want fries with that?" Yep, we'll be hearing that from Flozell Adams in the near-future after this week's performance. After a time, I began to play a game, counting the seconds between mistakes, waiting with giddy excitement while seeing that head coach of theirs as apoplectic as a TV evangelist being audited by the IRS.
And so now it stands that WLR leads the all-time series 5-2 against BB. WLR has a 6-2 regular season record. BB has a 1-7 regular season record. The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw WLR has senselessly deluged BB as though the unfortunate loser were a snail dropped in a jar of saline solution 87-47 in front of a jeering and hostile crowd.
Things went very well for the WLR squad particularly on the offensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 360 points, 243 on offense and 117 on defense. Dallas Clark with 40 points on offense and Shaun Rogers with 19 points on defense were the top scorers. However, they were far from perfect. Said Coach/GM Joe Rupp, "There were some mental breakdowns on both sides of the ball.. For one, Brandon Moore performed like a spasmodic violinist. His bones are made of flubber, so I don't think that's the problem. At least I wouldn't call that a break per se. Still, he's too much of a little baby to play with that little bruise. Broken vertabrae? I doubt that very much. It's clear who is here just to collect a check and frankly, I won't forget it. As for those DST? They were utterly incompetent, gaining 9 Punt returns defended, 177 Defended punt return yardage, 39.65 Defended punt return average, 1 Defended punt returns / Touchdowns, 5 Defended kickoff returns, 113 Defended kickoff return yardage, 44.833 Defended kickoff return average instead of playing. Overall though, the Doc's been looking into a revolutionary new surgery - replace his hands with anything - stickum, chicken claws, even bricks would be an improvement. I mean, he drops balls as if they were live ferrets. in this game was James Harrison. His wretched effort yielded as many positives as a hydrogen ion.
"Dem's fightin' woids!": Fuel was added to the fire during the two teams' post game news conferences. Joe Rupp quipped, "Well, there's murderers, rapists, boy bands, and then there's that owner of theirs... Which is worst? Hard to tell sometimes." In response, the BB coach groaned, "I feel kinda sorry for them, to be honest. I mean, how can you be that inept, that pitiable? I guess they occasionally get my blood flowing, but for the most part, playing them is about as exciting as rearranging my sock drawer." |
