| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) "You want fries with that?" Yep, we'll be hearing that from Andrew Walter in the near-future after this week's performance. After a time, I began to play a game, counting the seconds between mistakes, waiting with giddy excitement while seeing that head coach of theirs as angered as an environmentalist stuck in a room full of Bolivian slash-n-burn agriculturalists.
And so now it stands that WLR leads the all-time series 10-4 against SC. WLR has a 7-3 regular season record. SC has a 3-7 regular season record. The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw WLR pulverizing SC like a bloated spider engorging on the tender underbelly of a common house fly 41-0 in front of a despondent home crowd.
They looked unstoppable on the WLR squad particularly on the defensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 320 points, 157 on offense and 163 on defense. Philip Rivers with 38 points on offense and James Harrison with 19 points on defense were the top scorers. Several mental breakdowns drew the coach's ire. Said Coach/GM Joe Rupp, "I took exception to our execution on a few plays.. For one, Philip Rivers was as sharp as a sponge today. I've been working with Doc on a revolutionary new procedure... I won't go into the full details right now, but let's just say that he won't have an any excuse for dropping the damned ball anymore. As for those RB? They were utterly incompetent, gaining 10 Rushing Attempts, 43 Rushing Yards, 1 Receptions, 9 Receiving Yards, 1 Fumbles, 1 Tackles, 1 Fumbles Lost while taking the day off. Overall though, the the most incompetant player in this game was Ken Darby. His useless effort yielded a month in the doghouse.
There's no love lost between these two clubs. Joe Rupp whined, "Oh, they're harmless... a bit annoying too, I guess... Kinda remind me of Barney or Big Bird..." In response, the SC coach waxed poetic, stating, "Who? I didn't realize they were still in the league." |
