| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) Ben Roethlisberger groaned, "Offensively, we saved our best for last, which is the best thing I can say for us. Heck, who am I kidding, man? Our best sucked." Well no kidding, Einstein. MHD was bad. Awful. Grotesque. An embarrassment to the league, I dare say. "You want fries with that?" Yep, we'll be hearing that from Reggie Brown in the near-future after this week's performance. After a time, I began to play a game, counting the seconds between mistakes, waiting with giddy excitement while seeing that head coach of theirs as angered as an environmentalist stuck in a room full of Bolivian slash-n-burn agriculturalists.
So now the series stands SC leads the all-time series 16-9 against MHD. SC has a 4-7 regular season record. MHD has a 2-9 regular season record. The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw SC has senselessly deluged MHD like a mink that suddenly finds that a family of mice has taken up residence in her den 23-19 in front of a despondent home crowd.
Things went very well for the SC squad even though they did not excel on either side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 251 points, 159 on offense and 92 on defense. Kerry Collins with 26 points on offense and Albert Haynesworth with 16 points on defense were the top scorers. All that aside, as voted on by his teammates, the most worthless player of the game goes to Marques Tuiasosopo. Some players need a bit more instruction than others. I've tried a few less orthodox teaching tools from time to time..."
Says Marques Tuiasosopo, pouring out of a far-too-tight yellow bikini, "I have nothing to say about this."
Terrell Suggs added, "Words fail me... got it? I ain't had a single night's sleep since coach made that call last Monday, man. I keep waking up screaming. I mean dang, man... time to put some time on the thigh-master."
"Dem's fightin' woids!": Fuel was added to the fire during the two teams' post game news conferences. Matthew R. Watson considered this when he said, "Well, there's murderers, rapists, boy bands, and then there's that owner of theirs... Which is worst? Hard to tell sometimes." In response, the MHD coach grumbled, "Like 'em? No... not really. I'd rather strangle puppies in front of a dozen orphans than pull that wretched owner of theirs out of a burning building." |
