| Game Summary (Ralph Jones, NetFL Press) "You want fries with that?" Yep, we'll be hearing that from Kareem Jackson in the near-future after this week's performance. After a time, I began to play a game, counting the seconds between mistakes, waiting with giddy excitement while seeing that head coach of theirs as enraged as an elementary school janitor fresh out of Vomit-be-Gone.
And so now it stands that MHD trails the all-time series 16-21 against SC. MHD has a 7-4 regular season record. SC has a 3-8 regular season record. The latest (what I shall laughingly call a) contest saw MHD has repelled SC as though they were an all you can eat buffet residing next to a weight-watcher's clinic 58-20 in front of a jeering and hostile crowd.
Things went very well for the MHD squad particularly on the offensive side of the ball last week as they racked up a combined 317 points, 199 on offense and 118 on defense. Russell Wilson with 38 points on offense and Alec Ogletree with 19 points on defense were the top scorers. Mistakes dampened the mood around the locker room somewhat. Said Coach/GM Chip Riggs, "We have to get a lot better next week.. For one, Michael Bennett kinda languished a bit out there. That procedure he had a couple weeks back... labotomy, I think Doc said - well, that thing has done wonders for his game. He just stands in there and takes it now - play after play after play. No more of this whining about being too hurt. Doc is brilliant, I say. As for those DST? They were utterly incompetent, gaining 2 Defended kickoff returns, 58 Defended kickoff return yardage, 29 Defended kickoff return average while taking the day off. Overall though, the as voted on by his teammates, the most worthless player in this game was Tarvaris Jackson. His grotesque effort yielded a month in the doghouse.
There's no love lost between these two clubs. Chip Riggs droned, "Oh, they're harmless... a bit annoying too, I guess... Kinda remind me of Barney or Big Bird..." In response, the SC coach shot, "Gosh... why are you even wasting my time looking for a comment about them? They're kinda like cockroaches - to be sure, they occasionally crawl out of the woodwork to be seen by all, but usually, they're lurking somewhere out of sight." |
